History
In 1983, Mr. Raymond Roussy and Mrs Marlène Hudon opened their first store, which was initially called Aubaine Choc in Dolbeau, in the region of Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec. The popularity of the store has allowed them to open four new stores. The turn of the millennium was a time of transition for the growing business. Aubaine Choc became the chain store we know today as Mode Choc. A few years later, the founder’s daughters joined the company’s shareholding to take over the family business.
Since then, Mode Choc has continued to expand by conquering markets from Quebec to Moncton, New Brunswick. For the chain, 2015 is marked by the opening of a new store in Saint-Georges and the launch of our e-commerce store. In 2018, the company made a big entrance in the Montreal region and opens it's very first Mode Choc Deco concept in the Quebec region. Mode Choc, which started out in a small store with six employees in 1983, now has eleven stores and employs more then 550 people in the provinces of Quebec and New Brunswick.
